International PV EXPO 2009 in Tokyo
We has exhibited at 2nd international PV EXPO 2009 in Tokyo Big Site as AGC group. Total visitors of this exhibition has achieved 37,350 people and over 9,000 customers have dropped into our booth.
The visitors are not only Japanese but also Asian people and we could succeed to announce both of the prominent quality of our products and well-known our company.

Participated the International Glass Industrial
Exhibition GLASSTEC
Asahi Glass Ceramics Company (AGCC) exhibited their products at the Glasstec
2008 trade fair, held in the German City of Dusseldorf from October 21-to 25,2008.
AGCC was participating for the sixth consecutive time since 1998.
Despite delicate timing of the economic crisis originated from U.S.subprime loarn,
the number of the visiters has increased than previous time and the response of those
visiting the booth was even better than expected.

We has exhibited at 1st international PV EXPO 2008 in Tokyo Big Site.
This exhibition was the biggest scale in Japan and all manufacturers around domestic manufacturers such as device, parts and materials related to the PV modules met together.
Our booth had a lot of visitors at the head of Japan and Asia and we could succeed to appeal both of the eminence of our products and well-known our company. |

Ninety Years of Ceramics
Asahi Glass Ceramics held a celebration on May 18 at the Takasago Plant,in Hyogo Prefecture, to mark 90 years of ceramics production. That production began in 1916 with refractory bricks, and the celebration highlighted
the theme of tradition.
Some 230 people attended in person, including retired employees and representatives of distributors. Additional participants in Japan and worldwide took part through a teleconferencing hookup.Present and former employees gave presentations, and a photo exhibition depicted the history of ceramics operations in the AGC Group. A timeless camaraderie provailed throughout the celebration. |

Participated China International Environmental Protection
Exhibition and Conference CIEPEC 2005 Exhibit
Asahi Glass Ceramics Co., Ltd. participated in the 9th China
International Environmental Protection Exhibition and Conference (CIEPEC 2005)
held in Beijing. Under supporting of The China Association of Environmental Protection
Industry, the State Environmental Protection Administration of China hosted the
exhibition. It is China's longest-running and largest environmental-related exhibition.
AGCC's exhibition booth attracted many visitors from inside and outside China,
and we were able increase our recognition within the environment business field. |

10th anniversary of Plibrico (Dalian) Industries
Co. Ltd.
Plibrico Japan Co., Ltd, an affiliated company of AGCC,
produces and sells monolithic refractories through its local company, Plibrico
(Dalian) Industrial Co., Ltd., in China. On June 4, 2005, Plibrico (Dalian) Industrial
Co., Ltd. celebrated its 10th anniversary of Chinese production by holding a 10th
anniversary memorial ceremony. This company has achieved good business results,
and has plans to extend the capacity. |

Participated the International Glass Industrial
Exhibition GLASSTEC
The Asahi Glass Ceramics Co., Ltd. Group (AGCC Group) participated
in the international glass industrial exhibition GLASSTEC held in Dusseldorf,
Germany. This exhibition, held twice a year, is the largest glass industrial exhibition
in the world. AGCC has participated in this exhibition since 1998 including participation
under its former name of Asahi Glass Co., Ltd. Ceramics & Refractories Division.
AGCC’s exhibition booth attracted attention from many visitors, not only
from Europe but from all over the world. AGCC received many inquiries, and further
increased its company reputation in the global market. |

ISO14001 Certification Obtained
In June 2004, AGCC obtained the ISO14001:1996 (Environmental
Management System) standard certification. Previously, AGCC’s Production
department obtained the ISO9001:1994 certification. We have successfully expanded
coverage to the whole company. AGCC has assigned environmental protection as the
company’s common goal. Our Sales, Development and all other departments
will continue to progress environmentally friendly operations. |

Sales Alignment with Austria RHI AG
AGCC signed a sales collaboration with the world’s
largest refractories manufacturer, RHI AG. The collaboration concerns sales alignments
of fused cast refractories for glass melting furnaces in Asia and Europe. Through
this sales alignment, our lineups of fused cast refractories will complement and
mutually expand. It will be possible to meet the needs of our glass-producing
customers in Asia and Europe through the timely supply of all available fused
cast refractories. |

ISO9001:2000 Certification Obtained
In June 2003, AGCC obtained the ISO9001:2000 (Quality Management
System) standard certification. AGCC has previously obtained ISO9001:1994 certification
that covered only limited departments and products. We have obtained the Year
2000 qualification in order to expand the coverage of the certification to all
departments and all products. AGCC will continue its “Increased quality
of work” with the ISO as the standard. |

Company Division
On April 1, 2002, AGCC was created as a full 100% subsidiary
company by the separation of Asahi Glass Ceramics & Refractories Division
from Asahi Glass Co. Ltd. Our goals are to lay down a streamlined business management
system compatible to the market, and to accelerate our decision making process.
By providing solutions with ceramic material as a core, we will emphasize environmental
concerns, gain the further confidence of our valued customers, and endeavor to
give our employees job satisfaction and a pride in the company. |
