Refractories used in cement kilns are subject to thermal, mechanical and chemical damage during operation. Moreover, in recent years, with the spread of recycling, an increasing amount of waste is mixed in the kiln, making operating conditions severer. Increased burden on the kiln refractories results in lower durability. Furthermore, in order to alleviate environmental burden, there is an increasing demand for chrome-free bricks.
