These low-cement castables have superior corrosion resistance to melted waste slag, and they are widely used in incinerated ash melting furnaces and thermal-decomposition gasification melting furnaces.

Castables for waste melting furnaces
The Al2O3-Cr2O3 low-cement castable "CHROMERAM" has superior corrosion resistance to melted waste slag, and they are widely used in waste incinerators and thermal-decomposition gasification melting furnaces. For use in especially severe corrosive environments, pre-cast block constructions made of CHROMERAM-80-ZC-RE or other low-cement castables containing higher Cr2O3 are recommended as replaceable refratory linings. Alternatively, we are also developing chrome-free castable for melting furnaces to decrease environmental burden.
